Types of Charters

Bareboat charters

Bareboating allows you to charter the boat for as long as you want and empowers you to sail wherever you may wish and desire, with only restriction being the weather conditions. Undoubtedly, we will be more than pleased to discuss with you the planning of your sailing itinerary and assist you with our knowledge, geographical familiarity and experience. For a bareboat charter, the Greek legislation as applied by the Hellenic Coast Guard requires that one crew member be a properly licensed sailor (according to MD 3342/13/2004). The compliance of each and every skipper license presented to us will be subject to its approval by the Hellenic Coast Guard. To minimize any risk, we can help by obtaining an opinion prior to each booking.

Skippered charters

This type of vacation is known as a cruise with a boat and are designed for those with little or no sailing experience. A skipper will master the yacht, plan the route (in accordance with your desires) and has the responsibility for your entire journey. In the cruise you will get the chance to contribute in the operation of the yacht and learn the fundamentals of sailing by the skipper or sit back relax and enjoy the sea and the sun. All our skippers are experienced professional sailors who are familiar with the area, they know the best sailing destinations with the most appealing resident restaurants and the liveliest bars.

Crewed charters

A crewed yacht charter offers the advantage of sailing on the yacht, while captain and hostess / cook take care of all the practical issues, leaving you to enjoy a completely carefree cruise.

Crewed charter has its own standard crew all year around. Local skipper and cook will make sure that you will enjoy your holidays in a comfortable and luxury way.

Delivery - Redelivery

Weekly charters usually begin and end on Saturdays. In case of uneven periods of time, such as a ten or twelve-day charter, we will do our best, depending on the circumstances, to accommodate your requirements.

**Check-in: **It is the process where we deliver the yacht to you. The skipper (if you choose this type of trip) will follow the check in process with us, following the list of equipment of the boat, in detail. The embarkation time is 17.00

**Check-out: **The disembarkation time is 09:00. Please note the yacht should be returned to the base a day before the end of the charter contract, at 18:00 for check-out procedure, (refuelling of the boat, diver inspection, check-out). Any delayed redelivery of the yacht due to weather conditions shall not be acknowledged, so it is necessary to keep the yacht during the last 24 hours of the charter period at an adequate distance from the charter base.

Terms of payment

A down payment 30%, 40%, 50% or 60 % ( depending on the type of the yacht ) is required by bank transfer to our account in order to confirm the booking. The rest of the payment is paid 4 weeks before embarkation by bank transfer to our account.

Security deposit

Before embarking on the boat, the client has to leave a refundable security deposit/insurance/damage waiver that varies according to the size of the yacht. This ensures that the client is responsible only for that amount of money for any loss or damage may be caused. Every yacht is insured against any damage that exceeds that amount.

**1. Refundable Security deposit : ** (refunded upon disembarkation) The client must provide upon embarkation the amount of the deposit as specified by the contract according to the yacht that has been booked. This can be provided either in cash or via a valid credit card (VISA and Mastercard). Upon disembarkation and inspection of the yacht, the amount of the deposit is returned to the client (unblocked from credit card in case of use of card).

**2. Damage Waiver : **The client has the option to pay a reduced amount of the security deposit in combination with a non-refundable deposit that will not be returned even in the event of lack of any damages on the yacht. The non-refundable deposit is applied to cover only one incident at a time of substantial nature. In case of multiple damages or losses the charterer pays a new non-refundable immediately upon receipt of replacement or repair. The Damage Waiver applies per accident (damage or loss). This means that should an incident occur, in order to be covered against a 2nd incident, the Charterer must leave a new security deposit equal to the initial amount. In any other case, the charter agreement will be terminated.

**Greeceboatbooking reserves the right not to accept the damage waiver. **

**3. Insurance: **Insurance is the non-refundable deposit. It will not be returned even in the event of lack of any damages on the yacht. It is not available to every yacht in our fleet.

Greeceboatbooking reserves the right not to accept the non-refundable deposit.

Cancellation terms

In case a booked yacht charter needs to be cancelled on the client's initiative, the following terms will apply, as described in the Memorandum of Charter:
